Those words... "You have cancer."

No matter how much caring our providers try to put into the delivery of these words, it is a shock for all of us.

​

Please allow me to be one of the first to share with you that everything you are feeling with this diagnosis is 100% valid and normal. No one prepares us for this news, and, really, no one can. That said, you are not alone. 

 

MD Anderson, Baylor, Methodist, UT Health, or any of the other many health organizations that call Houston home have the goal of helping you to address cancer from a physical and medical standpoint. Mine is to walk with you as you navigate the rough terrain, and, hopefully, help you find peace on the other side of treatment.

As a cancer survivor, I can relate to what you are feeling and the struggles that come with the many decisions you face. I understand the fatigue, the nausea, the pain, and the many other symptoms that come with treatment, as well as the feeling that even those closest to you don't fully get it.
